(Aquilegia Alpina)
A classic profuse flowering Granny’s Bonnet with soft blue flowers and attractive maidenhair foliage when the plant is not in flower.
The deep violet blue flowers are produced in mid spring to early summer.
Columbines will grow well in sun or light shade in normal garden soil. Plant in blocks or drifts among other spring flowering perennials.
Incorporating organic matter into the soil will be beneficial. Cut to the ground during winter to promote fresh spring growth.
Regular applications of Seasol and Power Feed during spring and summer will keep it growing well and looking its best.
