'Mountain Sandwort'
A charming, low-growing perennial plant. It is widely appreciated in horticulture for its mat-forming growth habit and profusion of white flowers, making it a popular choice for rock gardens, and as a ground cover.
Position: Prefers full sun to partial shade.
Soil: Thrives in well-drained, sandy or gritty soil. Neutral to slightly alkaline pH.
Watering: Water during dry periods.
Fertiliser: Apply slow release fertiliser in early spring.
Flowering: Late spring to early summer.
Grow tips: Low maintenance. Trim lightly after flowering. Trim back after flowering to help maintain shape and encourage a second bloom.
