A medium sized shrub that bears a profusion of large, fragrant flower spikes of brilliant mauve over summer. Attractive to butterflies, the flowers resemble lilac and have a light fragrance.
Position: Prefers a sunny position.
Soil: Grow in moist, well-drained soil.
Watering: Once established will tolerate dry conditions.
Fertiliser: Apply complete fertiliser in early spring.
Flowering: Summer.
Grow tips: Need hard pruning in early spring to promote good bushy growth - at least half of the previous season's growth.
