A medium to tall Australian shrub bearing masses of purplish-violet, bottlebrush flowers in autumn and spring. Ideal for screening and as an informal hedge.
Position: Prefers an open, sunny position.
Soil: Will tolerate a wide range of well drained soil types.
Watering: Mulch and water well for up to 12 weeks or until established and then during dry periods. Water during dry periods.
Fertiliser: Apply native fertiliser in spring and autumn.
Flowering: Profuse flowering in spring. Flowers attract nectar-feeding birds.
Grow tips: Prune after flowering to encourage dense growth. Attracts insects and birds.
