Dwarf Dahlias are real pocket rockets. You can squeeze more colour into the garden as a filler, or add lasting, potted colour to the patio. They can flower for up to five months, are naturally self branching so don't need pinching and they don't stretch, remaining lovely, upright and bushy.
Position: Grows best in a full sun position.
Soil: Plant Dahlias into moist, humus rich, well drained soil.
Watering: Water regularly. Keep moist but not wet.
Fertilising: Dahlias have big blooms for a long period so fertiliser is important, a tomato fertiliser is a good choice. The addition of Sulphate of Potash will encourage strong blooms and general plant health.
Use: An ideal plant for mixed garden beds, pots and containers.
Grow tips: Remove spent flowers to keep the plants looking good and encourage more blooms.
