A very useful low and naturally dense and rounded growing small shrub, growing to 1 metre high and 2 metres wide. It has red to orange spider type flowers which are very attractive to nectar eating birds and insect, produced in profusion in winter and spring.
Position: Prefers an open, sunny position.
Soil: Grow in well-drained soil, clay, loam.
Watering: Water during dry periods.
Fertiliser: Apply low phosphorus native fertiliser in spring and autumn.
Flowering: Flowers appear mainly in winter and spring but spot flowering occurs year-round.
Grow tips: Low maintenance. Prune every now and then to increase the compactness of this plant.
