A dense compact shrub with small leaves and attractive claret-coloured new growth. A great foliage plant that has the form of a conifer, with masses of small cream/white flowers in Spring as well. Low maintenance.
Position: Full sun gives leaves a brighter red colour.
Soil: Wide range tolerant. Best in well-draining.
Watering: Once established will tolerate dry conditions.
Fertiliser: Slow release fertiliser in spring.
Flowering: Cream/white in spring - birds LOVE it.
Grow tips: Prune after flowering to maintain compact growth. A great plant for creating colour contrasts with other plants. Mass planting.
