Musk Mallow Pink

SPECIAL QUALITIES

A bushy plant with slightly musk scented leaves, which is covered in hollyhock-like pink flowers.

FLOWERS

The pink flowers appear throughout summer and into autumn.

POSITION & USES

Malvas prefer a sunny position. Soil needs to be of medium fertility but definitely well drained. The plant is suited to a perennial or shrub border. Will tolerate periods of dryness.

CULTIVATION

Prepare the ground well and ensure drainage is good. In spring cut to about 25cm above the ground when flowers finish.

FERTILISING

Regular applications of Seasol and Power Feed from spring to autumn will keep it looking its best.

WATER RATING

• Red can = Little water in hot, dry weather.
• Green can = Deep watering every few weeks in hot, dry weather.
• Blue can = Deep watering weekly in hot, dry weather.
