Pentas are grown for their showy flowers in shades of white, pinks, mauves and red. The small star-shaped flowers grow in tight clusters (umbels) above the foliage. The flowers are rich in nectar and good at attracting bees and butterflies.
Position: Grows best in a full sun position.
Soil: Prefers well-drained soil.
Watering: Water regularly. Keep moist but not wet.
Fertilising: Apply a general purpose fertiliser monthly.
Use: An ideal plant for mixed garden beds, pots and containers.
Grow tips: Prune regularly to desired shape. Mulch well.
